02 - Belgium - Ongoing debates and future developments
The ongoing debates relate mainly to two questions. Firstly, the fixed
quota system applied to medical students has been called into question,
and consideration is being given to the idea of organising an entrance
examination for medical faculties in future. Secondly, measures are
being discussed to help ensure the academic success of students,
especially in their first year. Such measures would be targeted at the
entire tertiary education system (university and non-university).
