08 - Malta - Financial support for students

Undergraduate
students at university are given financial support during their studies
in the form of maintenance grants consisting of a lump sum at the
beginning of the academic year together with a monthly allowance partly
to cover basic expenses. The lump sum takes the form of a smart credit
card which can be used in a number of approved shops, generally related
to students’ requisites, like bookshops, stationeries, computer shops.
I think there are some postgraduate courses for which students receive financial support but don’t know which courses.
