14 - Portugal - Progression of students
In line with recent legislation (Decree-Law No. 74/06, 26th of March), higher education institutions
should approve norms regarding precedence and the forfeit of the right to enrolment.
With the former, higher education establishments define the rules for progression to the next year,
such as the number of credit units necessary to make this transition and in which curriculum units it is
compulsory in terms of the rules of precedence.
